WASHINGTON — Tucked deep into a recent proposal from the Bush administration is a provision that has received almost no public attention, yet in many ways captures one of President Bush's defining legacies: an affirmation that the United States is still at war with Al Qaeda.
"Quick, manifest a false sense of fear and terror because people may be forgetting what a dire, dangerous situation we are in!"...
No kidding Mike! As if we the people didn't notice our absent neighbors, nieces, nephews, sons, daughters, grandchildren are not at the dinner table or holiday celebrations -you know the ones who perished in the towers and the thousands that are in Iraq/Afghan or were killed in the line of duty. Yah, we probably all forgot.....
BTW -great find..
We're at war with Al Qaeda? I don't think that's actually been true for the last five years.
I don't think it's been true ever.
We are at war with some-gary-hair-wrinkley-old-man with a cell phone... hey wait... isn't that John McCain ?
No, silly. John McCain doesn't know how to use a cell phone.
But hey ! at least he knows where he lives (~)
Well, he should. He's got seven houses to choose from.
Ba-da ching!
I'm just on a roll.
