Victory in Minnesota's drawn-out Senate race moved within Democrat Al Franken's grasp Saturday when he increased his lead over Republican Norm Coleman as the statewide recount drew to a close.
The state Canvassing Board will reconvene Monday to declare which candidate received the most overall votes in the election. Barring court intervention, it will be Franken.
Thank you! Jeebus, finally.
The headline is inaccurate. He hasn't been declared the winner YET.
What a shame that a hateful man such as Al Franken can manipulate his way to a win. Just a shame, just a shame. Dirty, darn, rotten shame. Hey Al! I think I have a few votes in the trunk of my car for you! Just awful! I have lost all faith in our voting system.
Actually, that ballots in the trunk of the car thing isn't true. Even the republican governor has said so.
You have to give the Progressive Marxists credit for their fortitude. From a defiant Blajerkovich in Illinois to Obama the Magic Negro. What a year!
What a joke - first Franken requests a recount after initially loosing the election, and now he suggests that Coleman would be a sore loser for filing a law suit to challenge the suspicious results. I can't believe the state of Minnesota is going to make Franken their new Senator. The guy is a disaster!
Actually, Franken did not request the recount. Because the margin of victory was less than 0.5%, it is mandated by Minnesota STATE LAW that an automoatic recount take place. What IS interesting though is that Coleman demanded Franken concede so that taxpayers time and money are not wasted (in direct contradiction to state law). Now that the recount is over and Franken has been declared the winner ... guess what ? Coleman is demanding that taxpayers time and money be wasted on a second recount. Things that make you go hmmmmm ...
